The Heights' Stage

We often get request from clients who want to use a stage as part of their event. Sadly this is not feasible at The Heights as there is not enough room between the screen (which is permanently fixed) and the floodlights of our stage. This makes putting on a play or a large musical event impossible. However, we do have two small permanent stage extensions that are in front of our main curtain that can accommodate up to three people of either side of our stage. These work great for a speakers, singers, or small music groups. We also have a house PA with a tech booth in the back of the theater as well as full stage lighting.

Digital & Film Projection

We have full 2K Digital cinema projection capabilities for showing DCP's, Blu Rays, and DVD's. We also have full 70mm and 35mm changeover projection capabilities (please refer to our ABOUT US page for more details). No outside electronics or sound systems may be hooked up to our house sound system without prior approval.

Box Office

Unless agreed upon before hand, it is the responsibility of the client to staff and operate his or her own box office ticket sales and bank. We staff and keep all proceeds from the concession stand.

Catering & Alcohol

A licensed and mutually agreed upon caterer, if arranged beforehand, may bring in food. There are strict parameters that need to be followed if you wish to serve alcoholic drinks, so you must inquire in advance; otherwise alcohol and other intoxicants are not allowed on Heights property at any time.

Weddings

With its grand velvet drape, hanging chandeliers, and classic atmosphere, The Heights is a popular venue for weddings. The rental for the auditorium is $800 on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 12 noon -- 3:30 PM. This is a basic hall rental. Due to space limitations we do not host wedding receptions here. Please see additional expenses above if you require digital projection, stage lighting or a technical person.

Contracts & Payment

When a rental date is decided upon, a contract will be drawn up between the Heights and the Rental party covering all costs and details of the event. At that time a down payment will be required to hold the date open. You may cancel your date up to 10 days before your scheduled rental, but deposits are non refundable.

While this is your event - and we want to help you make it as successful as possible - we will need to know the general nature of your event beforehand. We reserve the right to deny rental to anyone whose event we feel would reflect badly on the Theatre or cause a problem with legal authorities.

For more information call Tom Letness, Heights Theatre Owner, at (763) 789-4992 between 4 PM and 9 PM daily.
