Shoestringers

Film Series

Ongoing Series

Hosted by Elise Foster and Blaine Redden

A series of films made for next to nothing, paired with shorts made for even less: Shoestringers is a monthly showcase of microbudget filmmaking on a macro scale. Cohosted by the Heights Theater’s own Elise Foster and local filmmaker Blaine Redden, each month brings together innovative, independently produced feature films of any genre, and groundbreaking, boundary-pushing shorts by local filmmakers, who are invited to discuss the realities, challenges, and possibilities of low-budget filmmaking. Most of us don’t have two nickels to rub together, Shoestringers is about making something anyways.
