Do we really need to summarize Tommy Wiseau’s bat-s#!t crazy debut feature? We’ll try: Johnny (Wiseau) is a banker. His wife is Lisa. She seduces Mark, Johnny’s best friend. Together, the pals also save a young man from drugs. Well, that’s all well-and-true, but THE ROOM seems like life if it was generated by early AI from some distant planet whose alien programmer was high on LSD. The only way to watch THE ROOM is 1) late at night, 2) on 35mm, and 3) at the Heights. Check, check, and check.
Johnny is a successful banker with great respect for and dedication to the people in his life, especially his future wife Lisa. The happy-go-lucky guy sees his world being torn apart when his friends begin to betray him one-by-one.
