Showtimes for The Muppet Movie
The Heights Theater is proud to be a part of the 25th Annual Groveland Food Shelf benefit! Heights volunteer Randy Greene has been presenting a movie every year to benefit the food shelf, and this year he's screening the classic MUPPET MOVIE (1979).
The first and absolute greatest of the Muppet films is a delightful road movie with thrills, chills, romance, music and a cavalcade of stars from the late 70s, including Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Cloris Leachman, Mel Brooks, Kojak (OK, Telly Savalas), Madeline Kahn and more. This wacky movie-within-a-movie origin story takes Kermit cross-country to become a star, joined along the way by the entire Muppet family.
Before the show, Ed Copeland will be entertaining the crowds on the Heights' Mighty Wurlitzer.
$15 a ticket with all proceeds going to the Groveland Food Shelf. We will also be accepting non-perishable food and of course cash donations for the Groveland Food Shelf as well.
The Muppets gather to watch their newly-finished big-budget rich-and-famous feature film: a talent agent persuades Kermit the Frog to leave the swamp to pursue a career in Hollywood. On his way there, he meets a bear, a pig, a whatever (his future muppet crew), and some special celebrity guest stars, while being chased by the desperate owner of a frog-leg restaurant!
