Death Becomes Her

Coming September 4

Directed by: Robert Zemeckis

1992 104 min 35mm

Combining elements of black comedy and surrealism, Death Becomes Her follows egotistical and deluded actress Madeline Ashton (Meryl Streep) at the tail end of her once promising but now quickly fading career. Slated to perform in a broadway musical, Madeline decides to invite longtime friend-turned-rival and writer Helen Sharp (Goldie Hawn) to join her during rehearsals. Little does she know that Sharp’s husband, plastic surgeon Ernest Menville (Bruce Willis), will be accompanying Helen, and he quickly falls head-over-heels for the magnetic Madeline. When a party seven years later promises to be an awkward reunion of the love triangle, Madeline’s vanity and overwhelmingly depressing life as an aging actress will drive her to new lengths (and new concoctions) to try to hang on to her youthful beauty. There’s no better place to catch this cult classic of the 90’s (and its Academy Award nominated VFX) than at the Heights in gorgeous 35mm celluloid!
