1998. The lobby had been remodeled several times over the past 80 years. By 1998 the front doors had been moved foreword to the front of the building, the box office was now in the corner, the ceiling had been dropped 2 feet and the entire inside and outside of the building had been painted Aqua blue. |

2004. Armed with the original blue prints we were able to put the lobby closely back to its original 1926 appearance. |

1994. What we now refer to as the "lower lobby" was part of the old North storefront. The Columbia Heights City offices were in this space in the late 1920’s as well as Miss Kallgrens sweet shop in the 1930’s and 1940’s, a Chinese restaurant in the 1950’s,and a beauty parlor in the 1960’s. Mann Theatres turned it into a game room in the early 1980’s during their ownership of the Heights. When we purchased the theatre in 1998 the game room was the first thing to go. |
