After being killed in a car crash, and not having done anything right or wrong while alive, George (Cary Grant) and Marion (Constance Bennett) find themselves unwelcome in Heaven or Hell, so they're stuck haunting their living friend Topper (Roland Young) when he buys their fancy sports car.
