DIGITAL CINEMA PRESENTATION.

Once again The Heights is presenting a long lost silent film! Synthetic Sin was considered a lost film since a fire at Warner Bros in the 1950's wiped out the last known existing prints, but a lone surviving print was discovered in an Italian film Archive by Film Historian Joe Yranski in 2002, and with the generous support of Warner Bros, The UCLA Film and Television Archive and The Vitatphone project the film has been restored to its original glory!

In this Jazz age comedy Colleen Moore plays an actress who just flopped trying to portray a "wicked woman" in a local small town play, so she decides to head to New York City and see what it takes to become a "wicked woman" to get the part, and gets mixed up with all kinds of mischief in the big city!

This special screening will include a live accompaniment on the Heights Mighty Wurlitzer by HARVEY GUSTAFSON!
