DIGITAL CINEMA PRESENTATION

A rollicking adventure as big as Texas itself, George Stevens' Giant features Dean in a much smaller, though equally potent, role, as Jett Rink, a poor handyman living in the shadow of the Benedict clan. Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor are the heads of the Benedict family, wealthy ranchers who try and cope with the changes wrought by a younger generation and by the new industry taking over Texas: oil. Sadly, Dean was killed in a car accident during filming and his role diminished. Nonetheless, Giant is a supreme melodramatic entertainment, great for the Heights' big screen.
