DIGITAL CINEMA PRESENTATION

Set in Weimar Berlin in 1931, Cabaret was a musical unlike any other: frank in its depictions of sexuality and juxtaposing upbeat musical numbers with Nazi brutality, it could only have been made in the 1970s and only by Bob Fosse. This shocking and surprising musical hit brought Fosse back from the dead after the financial disaster of Sweet Charity, winning 8 Academy Awards, including Best Director, Actress for Liza Minnelli, and Supporting Actor for Joel Gray as the emcee.
