DIGITAL CINEMA PRESENTATION

Joe Gideon (Roy Scheider) is directing a stage musical and a challenging motion picture at the same time. Hopped up on Dexedrine and cigarettes, unable to remain faithful to any of the loves of his life, Gideon has begun to have visions of the Angel of Death (Jessica Lange), and eventually his hard living takes its toll. A thinly veiled account of Fosse's near-death experience directing the film Lenny and the musical Chicago on Broadway in the same year, Fosse crafted an autobiographical film that is blisteringly honest and unabashedly entertaining.
